Questions people ask about GeoProof

What exactly does it stamp on a photo?
Coordinates in the format you pick (decimal, DMS, MGRS or UTM), altitude, accuracy, address, date and time, compass bearing, and the weather at that moment. You choose which of those appear and where.
Is it proof in a legal sense?
It is evidence, not proof. It records what the phone's GPS, compass and clock reported at capture time, and shows the accuracy figure so you can judge it. No app can certify that a phone was not fooled.
Does it need internet?
Not for capturing. The address and the weather need a connection; coordinates, altitude and bearing do not. Offline maps can be downloaded ahead of the job.
What can I hand over at the end?
A PDF report, a spreadsheet, a KML or GeoJSON, or the whole project as a bundle.
Is there a watermark on free photos?
Your overlay is the watermark and you design it, including your own logo on Pro.
Does it work on iPad?
Yes.

What's new in 1.2.0

GeoProof could not be built with the current Xcode at all — one line in the ZIP exporter had grown complex enough that the compiler gave up type-checking it. Split into pieces; the export works again. The App Store page also carried a duplicate set of terms and privacy links pointing at a personal file host, and the description now says plainly what a product called Proof owes you: this is evidence, not proof. It records what the GPS, the compass and the clock reported, and shows the accuracy figure so you can judge it.
