Water eject shortcut: start it with Siri or the Shortcuts app
Install iSpeaker Cleaner and the Eject Water shortcut is already there, ready to go: say "Eject water with iSpeakerCleaner" to Siri, or run Eject Water from the Shortcuts app or Spotlight. It opens straight to the Water Ejection tab and starts the tone on its own — nothing to build or download from a gallery first.
Why use a shortcut for water eject
A phone fresh out of the rain or the pool has a wet screen, and wet screens send taps to the wrong place, making it easy to tap the wrong button with soaked hands. A shortcut skips the menu entirely: one voice command or one tap starts the tone.
A lot of people go hunting for a water eject shortcut in a shortcut gallery first. No need. iSpeaker Cleaner ships its own as a standard App Shortcut, so it shows up in Siri, Shortcuts and Spotlight the moment the app is installed — nothing to import, nothing from a website to trust.
Can you ask Siri to eject water?
In English, yes. Siri recognizes three phrases:
- "Eject water with iSpeakerCleaner"
- "Clean my speaker with iSpeakerCleaner"
- "Water eject in iSpeakerCleaner"
Those exist in English only — Siri in another language just won't recognize them. Use the Shortcuts app or Spotlight instead; the action behind it is identical either way.
How to run the water eject shortcut on iPhone
- Install iSpeaker Cleaner and open it once first.
- Turn the volume all the way up with the side buttons — a shortcut has no way to do that for you.
- Say "Eject water with iSpeakerCleaner", or open Shortcuts, find the iSpeakerCleaner actions and tap Eject Water. Typing "Eject Water" into Spotlight works too.
- The app opens on Water Ejection and starts by itself; you'll see Ejecting Water... and the countdown running.
- Keep it on screen and follow Hold device upright until the countdown's done.
Putting it on the Action button
Since Eject Water is a standard App Shortcut, iOS will let you put it anywhere App Shortcuts can go — including the Action button on the iPhone models that have one. That's set up in the iPhone's own Settings, not inside the app; there's no special button screen here.
What the shortcut does and does not do
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| What it plays | The Water Ejection tab tone: 165 Hz rising to 200 Hz, 30 s by default |
| Plays in the background? | No, it opens the app and plays while it is on screen |
| Stops a run already playing? | No, it only starts one |
| Free version | Counts toward the same 2 free runs in total |
| Siri languages | English phrases only; Shortcuts and Spotlight work in any language |
| Needs internet? | No, the tone is generated on the device |
Once the free runs are gone, the shortcut hits the same wall as the in-app button: Watch Ad for one bonus run, or Pro. The free Water program under Smart Clean isn't tied to that limit at all, but the shortcut has no way to start it — only Water Ejection.
Tips
- Test the shortcut once while the phone is dry, so it's not the first time you're trying it with wet hands and a crisis.
- Siri bouncing to a web search instead? Say the app name as one word, "iSpeakerCleaner", exactly as it reads on the home screen.
- Run length follows Cleaning Duration from the app's own Settings — set it once and every shortcut run picks it up.
If the shortcut is missing
App Shortcuts get indexed the first time an app opens, which trips people up right after installing. If Eject Water isn't showing in Siri, Shortcuts or Spotlight, open the app once, let the main screen load fully, then check again. Delete the app and the shortcut goes with it — it lives inside the app, not as a separate download.
