Rigging lift plan PDF: put the rigging numbers on one page for your supervisor
In RigMaster Pro, tap Lift Plan on a calculator and you get a one-page PDF of the rigging calculation, with the inputs, the result, a diagram where there is one, Notes lines and Prepared by, Signature and Date lines. It records the rigging numbers; it is not a full crane lift plan.
When a written record helps
Supervisors, lift planners and clients usually want to see how the sling loads were worked out, not just hear that they were. A single page with the numbers, the angle and a signature is easy to check, file with the job paperwork or attach to a permit.
What is on the page
- The title Lift Plan, the calculator name and today's date.
- A sling diagram for Sling Tension, Unequal Legs and the Basket hitch. Load Weight and the Vertical and Choker hitches have no diagram.
- A table of inputs and results with the main number printed large. It turns coloured with a warning icon when the angle is in the caution or danger band.
- Three ruled Notes lines, and Prepared by, Signature and Date lines.
- The estimation-aid disclaimer.
The page is US Letter when the device uses US measurements and A4 otherwise. The file is named after the calculator, for example Lift Plan — Sling Tension.pdf.
Lift plan example: 2-leg sling
| Row | Value |

| Tension per Leg | 1,155 lb |
Steps in RigMaster
- Finish the calculation on Sling Tension, Hitch Capacity, Unequal Legs or Load Weight.
- Tap Lift Plan in the toolbar. It is greyed out until there is a result, and without Pro it opens the upgrade screen.
- Pick where to send the PDF from the share sheet: mail, messages, Files or a printer.
- Print or mark it up, fill the Notes, and sign on the Prepared by and Signature lines.
Free alternative: share from History
Without Pro, tap Save on the calculator, open History, then swipe right on the entry or long-press it and choose Share. You send the calculator name, inputs and result as plain text. It has no diagram or signature lines, but it is a written record.
What a full crane lift plan also needs
RigMaster's sheet covers the rigging only. A lift plan for a crane pick normally also records things the app knows nothing about, and those have to come from the crane's documentation and the site:
- Crane make, model and configuration, counterweight, boom length and radius.
- Load chart capacity at that radius and the percentage of capacity used.
- Ground conditions, outrigger or mat loading, and nearby hazards such as power lines.
- Exclusion zones, communication method, the people involved and their roles.
