SprayMaster questions and answers
Short, honest answers about what SprayMaster does, what it does not do, and what you get for free. Each answer stands on its own.
Does it come with product rates?
No. The app ships no product rates, no label database and makes no recommendations. You type the rate off the label you are holding, and SprayMaster does the arithmetic from there: amount per tank, land per tank and loads for the job.
What can I do without paying?
Tank Mix and Mix Ratio are free. Tank Mix turns a label rate per acre, per 1,000 square feet or per gallon (or per hectare, per 100 m² or per litre in metric) into product per tank, acres per tank and whole-job totals. Mix Ratio handles dilution for handheld and backpack sprayers. Saving results to History is free too.
Does it calibrate a sprayer?
Yes, with SprayMaster Pro. The Nozzle & Speed method works out GPA or L/ha from one nozzle's output, your ground speed and nozzle spacing. The 1/128 Acre method gives the course length to drive, and the fluid ounces you catch from one nozzle equal gallons per acre. Metric users get a Measured Run version in mL and L/ha.
Can it convert between label units?
Pro's Rate Converter does nine two-way conversions: per acre to per 1,000 ft² for any unit, lb/acre to oz/1,000 ft², gal/acre to fl oz/1,000 ft², percent to fl oz/gal, percent to mL/L, GPA to L/ha, GPM to L/min, mph to km/h and acres to hectares. It does not convert pints to fluid ounces, lb/acre to kg/ha or ppm.
Does it work in the field with no signal?
Yes. Every calculation runs on the phone. Save and History also work offline and are free for everyone, not a Pro feature. History is a one-line summary kept on the phone, with no export, so keep the application records your rules require in your own system.
Who is it for?
Licensed applicators in agriculture, turf, ornamentals, structural pest control and right-of-way, plus farmers, lawn crews and homeowners with a backpack sprayer. It does the maths; the label, its restrictions and your state's rules are still yours to follow.
How accurate are the results?
The factors behind it are exact definitions, not rounded textbook numbers: 43,560 ft² per acre, 128 fl oz per gallon, 3.785411784 L per gallon. Results show up to two decimals, and anything below 1 keeps three significant digits, so a small dose never shows as a flat 0. None of that saves you from a guessed GPA, though — a wrong tank size still gives a wrong tank, and that mistake is more common than the maths ever being off.
Can it replace calibrating my sprayer or my applicator training?
No. It turns your own measurements into a rate. You still need to catch the nozzles, time your course, check for worn or clogged tips, and follow the label and your training. Treat it as a calculation aid.
Why does SprayMaster ask to track me?
The free version shows ads, and Apple requires that prompt before ads can be personalized. If you decline, the calculators work exactly the same and the ads are non-personalized. SprayMaster Pro has no ads at all.
Where are the ads?
In the free version there is a banner at the bottom of the home list, and a full-screen ad every third time you open Tank Mix or Mix Ratio. There are no ads inside the calculator screens. Any Pro plan removes them.
Can I export or print my saved calculations?
No. History keeps each saved result on the phone with date, time, an input line and a result line, and you can swipe to delete. There is no share, PDF, print or cloud sync, and deleting the app deletes the History. Saved lines are written in English.
Does Tank Mix convert pints to ounces?
No. The Product Unit is a label carried through the maths. If the label says pints per acre, the tank amount comes out in pints. Convert to other units yourself if your measuring jug is marked differently.
Does Tank Mix round up to whole tank loads?
No. Tanks for Job is a decimal such as 1.5 or 2.4. Plan the last partial tank yourself, and remember rinse water is not included.
Can it handle active ingredient or percent concentration maths?
No. There are no active-ingredient calculations and no adjuvant or water-conditioner handling. The only percentage it works with is a spray-solution percent in Mix Ratio and the Rate Converter.
Is there a free trial of Pro?
Only if the App Store offers one for your Apple ID at that moment. The paywall shows a trial line only when you are eligible, so do not count on it.
How do I restore Pro on a new phone?
Sign in with the same Apple ID and tap Restore Purchases in Settings or on the paywall. The app confirms if it finds a purchase, or tells you nothing was found for that Apple ID.
Does it work on iPad, Apple Watch or Android?
No. It is an iPhone app, portrait only, for iOS 17 or later. There is no iPad layout, watch app, widget or Android version.
Why is the app always dark?
SprayMaster uses a dark appearance on every screen, whatever your phone setting. There is no light mode option.
