How to score Cricket darts, step by step
Cricket reads harder than it plays: three marks close each of 20, 19, 18, 17, 16, 15 and the bull. Close a number before your opponent does, and every extra mark on it scores its value as points. Close everything with at least as many points as anyone else and you win. Dart Scoreboard tracks the marks and points for up to four players so you're not doing it on a beer mat.
Cricket darts rules
- Only 20, 19, 18, 17, 16, 15 and the bull count. Every other number is a miss.
- A single is one mark, a double two marks, a treble three. The outer bull is one mark and the bullseye two.
- Three marks close a number for you.
- If you hit a number you have already closed while at least one opponent still has it open, each extra mark scores the number's value: 20 points per mark on 20, 25 per mark on the bull.
- Once every player has closed a number, it is dead and scores nothing.
- You win the leg when you have closed all seven targets and have at least as many points as every opponent.
How marks turn into points
Marks go to closing the number first, and anything beyond three becomes points. If you have one mark on 20 and hit treble 20, two of those marks close the 20 and the third one scores 20 points, provided an opponent has not closed 20 yet.
| Marks before | Dart | Opponent still open? | Marks after | Points |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 on 20 | T20 | Yes | 3 (closed) | 20 |
| 3 on 19 | T19 | Yes | 3 | 57 |
| 3 on 19 | T19 | No | 3 | 0 |
| 2 on bull | Bullseye | Yes | 3 (closed) | 25 |
| 0 on 18 | T18 | Yes | 3 (closed) | 0 |
The last row is a common surprise: a treble on a fresh number closes it but scores nothing, because all three marks were needed to close it.
How to keep score of Cricket in the app
- On the home screen under Game, tap the Cricket tile. Without Pro it is locked: choose Watch an Ad to Unlock to use it until you close the app, or Upgrade to Pro to keep it.
- Add the players under Players. Two are free; Pro allows up to four.
- Set Match Length and tap Start Match. The grid shows 20 down to 15 and Bull for every player, with Pts at the bottom.
- For each dart pick Single, Double or Triple and tap the number. The keypad only shows 20 to 15, the bull key and Miss. For the bull, Single gives the outer bull (25) and Double gives Bull.
- Marks fill in and points add up on their own. When someone closes everything with enough points, the leg ends.
- Tap Undo Last Visit if a dart was entered wrongly.
Strategy tips for beginners
- Close the high numbers first: 20s score the most if you get ahead.
- Points only matter if they keep you ahead. Closing a number your opponent is scoring on stops their points.
- Do not leave the bull for last without a plan. It is the smallest target and often decides the leg.
Is Cricket free in Dart Scoreboard?
Cricket's a Pro feature. Free players can unlock it for the session by watching one rewarded ad — that unlock also shows the advanced match stats, and it ends the moment you close the app. Pro keeps it on permanently and drops the ads. One gap worth knowing: there's no team-vs-team mode, only individual players on the grid, so a pairs night means two people sharing a single name and taking turns on the keypad.
