Does it work on Apple Watch on its own?
For counting, yes. You can leave your phone in a bag and just tap the watch screen or turn the Digital Crown; the taps land on the phone once the two are back in range. The catch is you have to build the counter on the iPhone first — the watch cannot create, rename or edit one, and until it syncs it just shows Open Tally Counter on your iPhone to sync your counters.
Is it quiet enough for tasbeeh and dhikr?
Yes. Tasbeeh counters never make a sound, whatever the Sound setting says. A light vibration marks each bead and a stronger double vibration marks the end of each cycle, so you can keep your eyes closed. No ads appear while a counting screen is open.
Can I keep more than one counter?
Yes, each with its own name, icon and colour. The free version holds 3 counters, plus one extra slot per rewarded ad that lasts until you close the app; unlimited counters need Pro. Free users choose from 4 of the 12 colours, and the Home Screen widget is also a Pro feature.
Can I undo a tap or set an exact number?
On a tasbeeh counter, Undo takes one bead back. On a standard counter, Decrease subtracts one step. To set an exact number on a standard counter, long-press the big button and choose Enter Amount…. The step size is picked with a stepper from 1 to 100; +5 and +10 in the long-press menu are one-off additions, not step sizes.
Does what I count leave the phone?
Your counts and history stay on the device and, if you have one, on the paired Apple Watch. There is no account and no cloud copy. The free version still connects to the internet to load ads.
What is free and what does Pro add?
Counting, tasbeeh mode, presets, history, volume-button counting and the Apple Watch app are free. Pro adds unlimited counters, the Home Screen widget, 8 extra counter colours and removes ads. History is not cut short in the free version, so it is not a real Pro difference.
Can I choose any tasbeeh cycle length, like 34 or 1,000?
No. The Cycle Length picker offers 33, 99 and 100. The Allahu Akbar counter made by the after-prayer preset is the only one with 34. For a long count such as 1,000, use a standard counter with a goal.
Can I count from the widget?
No. The widget only shows the current value of one counter you choose, and tapping it opens the app. It comes in small and medium sizes for the Home Screen and requires Pro. There is no Lock Screen widget.
Why does the app ask to track me?
The tracking request is only used for personalised ads in the free version. If you decline, ads become non-personalised and every feature works exactly the same.
Can I count without looking at the screen?
Yes. Turn on Count with volume buttons in Settings and press either volume button while a counter is open. In tasbeeh mode the whole screen is the button, and a double vibration tells you a cycle is done. On the watch, turn the Digital Crown.
Do my counters sync to my iPad or a new iPhone?
No. There is no iCloud sync, backup or export, so each device keeps its own counters. Only the Apple Watch paired with your iPhone mirrors that iPhone's counters.
Does it count people, steps or reps automatically?
No. It is a manual counter: every count is a tap, a volume-button press or a Digital Crown turn. It does not use the camera, motion sensors or location.
Can a counter go below zero?
No. A standard counter stops at 0: if you are at 3 with a step of 5 and press Decrease, it goes to 0, logs -3 and gives a warning vibration. To track people in and out, use two counters.
Can I export my history as a spreadsheet?
No. History shows every tap grouped by day, with the time of each one, but it cannot be exported, shared or copied as a file. Write down or screenshot the totals you need to keep elsewhere.
Is there a free trial of Pro?
Do not count on one. A trial only shows on the purchase screen when the App Store product offers it. Pro is sold as a weekly, monthly or yearly subscription or a one-time Lifetime purchase, and subscriptions can be managed from Settings.
I bought Pro on another device. How do I get it back?
Open Settings in the app and tap Restore Purchases, signed in with the same Apple ID you used to buy it. Manage Subscription opens the App Store page where you can change or cancel a subscription.
Will an ad interrupt my dhikr or my row count?
No. Ads are blocked while any counting screen is open. In the free version they appear on the counters list, after deleting or resetting a counter from the list, or when you come back to the app from the background.
Does it work on iPad?
Yes. It runs on iPad with iPadOS 17.4 or later, with a bigger number on screen. Counters on the iPad are separate from those on your iPhone because there is no sync.
