Cigarette & Vape Counter: frequently asked questions

It is free to download, with ads that start after the first 7 days. Everything for counting, prices, the timer, the spacing goal, reduction plans, craving tools, widgets and CSV export is free. Premium removes banner and full-screen ads, opens up history and statistics older than 7 days, adds Trigger Analysis and refills one streak shield per month. Reduction plans are not a paid feature: they are free for everyone.

No. There is no email, no profile and no cloud. Your entries stay on your phone. The free version does load Google ads, which, like any ad network, may use device identifiers; your log is not shared with them.

All tracking works offline: logging, costs, timer, stats, plans and CSV export. Only buying or restoring Premium and loading ads in the free version need an internet connection.

Any of the three. Pick Cigarettes, Vape or Both under Tracking Mode in Settings. In Both mode each type has its own count, time-since-last timer and price.

No. You tap +1 for each puff (or +5, or a custom number). The app does not pair with any vape and cannot read the puff counter shown on some disposables.

No app can do that for you. It shows you the number, the cost and the time since your last one, and it can set a daily target that drops gradually. It is a tracker, not a treatment, so talk to a doctor or a stop-smoking service if you want to quit.

Treat Money Saved as a rough motivator, not a figure to quote. It assumes you would otherwise have bought one full pack and one full e-liquid bottle every day since your quit date, even if you only smoked, so it usually comes out too high. The spent today amount and the cost section in Stats are exact multiplications of what you logged by the prices you entered.

In this version Current Streak counts only calendar days with nothing logged. A day under your reduction target still has entries, so it does not count. Use the Reduction Plan card, which compares Today's Target with Actual, to see whether you made your day.

Every entry is kept, and Export as CSV always includes all of them. On screen, the free version shows the last 7 days. Older days and the 14 Days, 30 Days and 90 Days ranges need Premium, or you can tap Watch a short ad for 24h access.

Entries cannot be edited. In History, swipe left on the wrong entry to delete it, then log it again with Details, where you can set the correct Quantity and Time.

It is optional. When connected, each finished breathing exercise is saved as Mindful Minutes. The app also asks to read heart rate, but no screen shows it in this version, so you can decline that part.

If you allow them, it sends encouragement messages in the hours after you open the app and a few reminders during your first month. It does not alert you when you reach your spacing goal, and the daily summary and reduction reminder switches in Settings do not send anything yet.

The Currency picker offers USD, EUR, GBP, CAD, AUD and JPY. By default the app uses your device region's currency.

There is no Apple Watch app. On iOS 18.6 or later there are three home-screen widgets (Smoke-Free Timer, Today's Count and Money Saved) and a Control Center button, Quick Log, that adds one entry.

It is deleted with the app, because there is no cloud backup or sync between devices. Before you delete it or change phones, use Export Data and Export as CSV to keep a copy of every entry.

No. Vaping is counted in puffs only. The cost per puff is estimated from the bottle price, its size in mL and the puffs per mL you enter.
