Does iPhone Have a Built-In Collage Maker?

Photos is the first place to look, because that is where people expect it. Edit gives you crop, adjust and filters for one picture. Memories plays a selection of your photos with music, which is a video, not a collage you can post. There is no dedicated collage tool in the Photos app as of this writing — check your own iOS version in case that has changed.

The route that needs no app

The Shortcuts app has an action called Combine Images that joins pictures in a row, a column or a grid. It has no ready-made layouts and no rounded corners, and you finish by adding words with Markup in Photos. It works for two photos, once, but is not worth setting up for anything repeated.

What an app adds, in pixels

The cost of the free version

Free covers every layout, the full editor with text, stickers and filters, and HD and 2K saves with no watermark. The price is ads: a banner and a native ad while you browse, an interstitial after every third export, and an app-open ad at most once an hour. Watching one rewarded video turns them off for 30 minutes. Pro, optional, removes them and adds 4K, print sizes and transparent PNG.

Photos are not uploaded; editing and saving work offline. There is no account.
