How to print a whole web page on iPhone or iPad
Tap Print Web Page, type the address into Enter URL, tap Go, then Print in the top left. The whole page, top to bottom, gets split across as many sheets as it needs and sent to your printer.
Why print a web page from the app instead of a screenshot?
A screenshot only grabs what's on screen and prints as one small picture. Printing the actual page keeps text sharp and runs through the full length — a recipe, a boarding pass, a long article, an online form.
Safari can print too, through Share then Print. This app's version lands in History alongside everything else printed that week, which is the main advantage of using it instead.
How to print a whole web page, step by step
- Open Printer App and tap Print Web Page on the Home tab. A simple browser opens on Google's search page.
- Tap Enter URL and type the web address. If you type words instead, they are searched on Google.
- Tap Go and wait for the page to finish loading.
- If the page needs a login, sign in right there in the browser.
- Tap Print at the top left. The page is laid out over as many sheets as it needs.
- In the print options, choose the printer, copies and a page range if you only want part of it.
Example: printing a long recipe
| Situation | What prints |
|---|---|
| A recipe page with a long comment section | Every page of it, comments included; set a page range to skip the end |
| An event ticket page after signing in | The page as it looks in the app's browser |
| A page with ads | The ads print too; there is no ad removal or reader mode |
Limits worth knowing
- You need internet to load the page in the first place. Printing itself still just goes over your local Wi-Fi.
- The browser is bare-bones: an address field, Go, Print. No reader mode, no tabs, no bookmarks — don't expect Safari.
- Web page prints show up in History, but no copy of the page gets saved, so you can't reprint from there. Go back to the browser and print again.
- Print Web Page itself is free.
Questions and answers
How do I print a web page to PDF on iPhone?
The browser inside Printer App sends the page straight to a printer, not to a file. To keep an actual PDF, use Safari's Share button instead, or snap pictures and run them through Photos to PDF.
Why does only part of the page print from a screenshot?
A screenshot only has what fit on your screen at the time. Print Web Page prints the page itself, start to finish.
Can I print a page that needs a login?
Yes — sign in inside the app's own browser first, then tap Print once you're through.
Is printing web pages free?
Yes. Print Web Page is part of the free version, no Pro needed.
